Project Summary
In 2020, we were awarded a contract by a mining OEM to manufacture this specialized piece of process equipment. The 4.5m diameter x 14m high flotation column was fabricated in four main sub-sections. It included several external and internal bolt-on components to allow for transportation to the site. Once assembled for operation, the column must remain liquid-tight, so fit-up and dimensional accuracy are critical. We met all quality requirements set by the OEM and owner engineers and pre-assembled the column sections inside our shop during the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Our quality project execution minimizes our client’s cost and risk during site installation and operation.
